How I decide a game is worth the storage
My phone is always one update away from a storage warning, so every game I keep has to justify the megabytes. Over the years I've built a rough checklist that saves me from installing and deleting the same things repeatedly.
Does it respect short sessions? If a game needs twenty uninterrupted minutes to accomplish anything, it won't survive on a device I mostly use between other things.
Is it kind to the hardware? A game that turns my phone into a hand warmer and empties the battery in half an hour is a game I'll uninstall, no matter how pretty it is.
And does it give me control over the experience, through settings I can actually reach and understand? The games that stay on my phone for months all share that: they bend to fit my life instead of demanding I bend to fit them.
