About
Pocket Playlog started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space. We decided to stop arguing and start writing things down. That turned into this site.
We don't chase every new release. Instead we pick titles we can genuinely sit with for a few days, long enough to notice how a game behaves when the phone heats up or when you only have five minutes to spare. If a game is clever in a trailer but miserable to hold, we'll say so.
Every review here is based on hands-on time on mid-range and older phones, not just flagships. We note frame drops, awkward touch zones, and settings menus that hide the one toggle you actually need. Battery drain gets measured over normal sessions, not lab conditions.
Nobody pays us to be nice. We buy or download games the same way anyone else does, and we keep our notes plain and personal so you can tell whether our taste matches yours.
