Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a calm, atmospheric adventure where you wander a hand-drawn world solving small environmental puzzles. There's no timer and no failure state, just the pleasure of poking at things until they open up. It's the sort of game I play to unwind.

Controls are tap-to-move with a few swipe gestures, and they're responsive enough that I never fought the interface. If you're on a larger phone, the fixed button positions are easy to reach, and the game lets you reposition the interact button, which is a thoughtful touch.

Battery life is reasonable thanks to the painterly, low-motion visuals. A dark-mode style option in settings also helped on an OLED screen, both for the mood and for shaving a little power during long evening sessions.
